It is commonplace now for employers to request that prospective employees complete a psychometric test or two. Many hires take place online and even if candidates meet prospective employers face to face, there may be a request for tests as short lists are formed.

By assessing these preferences, individuals are assigned a four-letter code representing their personality type, such as ISTJ (Introverted, Sensing, Thinking, Judging) or ENFP (Extraverted, Intuitive, Feeling, Perceiving).

Conscientiousness (C): This trait relates to accuracy, precision, and attention to detail. People with a conscientious style are analytical, organised, and prioritise quality and thoroughness in their work.
